Refund Policy

Effective Date: June 30, 2026 Last Updated: June 30, 2026

Out Driving's refund policy is designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and compliance with state standards. Out Driving is operated by Long Way Home, LLC. This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to tuition and fees paid for our online driver education course and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

Definitions

For purposes of this policy:

  • "Tuition" means the base price paid for enrollment in the course, excluding fees and taxes.

  • "Administrative fee" means the non-refundable [$15.00] fee charged at enrollment to cover the cost of processing and account setup.

  • "Course materials" means any lesson, module, video, quiz, or assessment content within the course.

  • "Completion percentage" means the portion of total course content accessed or completed, as measured by our activity logs.

Refund Eligibility

Students who withdraw prior to accessing any course materials shall be entitled to a full refund of tuition, excluding the non-refundable administrative fee, provided a written request is submitted within seven (7) calendar days of enrollment.

Students who withdraw after beginning the course but prior to completing twenty-five percent (25%) of the total content shall be eligible for a fifty percent (50%) refund of tuition, less applicable administrative or processing fees.

Students who have completed more than twenty-five percent (25%) of the course content are not eligible for a refund under standard policy.

How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to robert@outdriving.com, including the student's name, date of enrollment, and reason for withdrawal. Upon receipt, Out Driving will verify course usage through appropriate activity logs. Approved refunds shall be processed within fourteen (14) business days to the original payment method unless otherwise authorized in writing.

We will acknowledge your request within [3] business days. Once a refund is processed on our end, please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the credit, which is outside our control.

Extraordinary Circumstances

In extraordinary cases, including verified medical emergencies, deployment, or other documented hardships, Out Driving may, at its discretion, authorize a prorated refund beyond standard eligibility thresholds. Such exceptions require supporting documentation and will be reviewed by Out Driving support.

Non-Refundable Items and Fees

Except where required by law, the following are non-refundable:

  • The administrative fee described above.

  • Third-party payment processing fees and applicable taxes.

  • Certificates of completion once issued.

  • Courses or credits purchased at a promotional, discounted, or bundled rate, unless the offer states otherwise or the law requires a refund.

  • Course access that has expired or gone unused after the eligibility window has closed.

Course Cancellation or Changes by Out Driving

If Out Driving cancels a course or is unable to provide the Services you purchased, you will receive a full refund of the amounts you paid for that course, including the administrative fee. If we make a material change to a course you are actively enrolled in, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you and, where appropriate, offer a comparable alternative or a prorated refund.

Transfers in Lieu of a Refund

In some cases, and at our discretion, we may offer to transfer your enrollment to another course, defer your start date, or transfer access to another eligible student instead of issuing a refund. Any such arrangement must be agreed to in writing.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account and course access while the matter is reviewed. Filing a chargeback does not change your eligibility under this policy.

Duplicate or Erroneous Charges

If you are charged in error or more than once for the same enrollment, contact us, and we will refund the duplicate or erroneous amount in full.

State Law and Required Refund Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights you may have under applicable state law. Where a state's driver education or consumer protection law requires refund terms that are more favorable to the student than those stated here, those legal requirements will control. All refunds and exceptions are administered in accordance with this policy and applicable state law.

Entire Agreement and Acknowledgment

This Refund Policy constitutes the full agreement governing all financial transactions between Out Driving and the student. By enrolling, the student and parent or guardian acknowledge that they have reviewed, understood, and agreed to these terms, and that all tuition payments, refunds, and exceptions shall be administered in accordance with this policy and applicable state law.
