Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: June 30, 2026 Last Updated: June 30, 2026
Out Driving, operated by Long Way Home, LLC, is committed to making our website and online driver education course accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves the independence that comes with learning to drive, and that starts with an experience everyone can use.
Our Commitment
We are committed to providing a website and Services that are accessible to all users, regardless of ability or technology. We work to conform to recognized accessibility standards and to continually improve the experience for everyone.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
The Out Driving website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working toward full conformance and monitoring developments, including WCAG 2.2, as standards evolve.
Measures We Take to Support Accessibility
To help make our Services accessible, we take measures that include:
Designing with sufficient color contrast and a clear, consistent visual hierarchy.
Providing text alternatives for meaningful images and non-text content.
Structuring content with proper headings, landmarks, and semantic markup.
Supporting keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators.
Designing responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Respecting user preferences such as reduced motion.
Considering accessibility as part of our design, development, and content processes.
Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technology
The Services are designed to be compatible with current versions of major web browsers and with commonly used assistive technologies, such as screen readers and screen magnification tools. The experience may vary with older browsers or technologies that do not support current web standards.
Technical Specifications
Accessibility of the Services relies on the following technologies to work with your web browser and any assistive technologies you use: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standard used.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may have limitations. Where we identify areas that do not yet meet our accessibility goals, we work to address them and to provide accessible alternatives where possible. If you encounter a barrier that is not described here, please let us know using the contact information below.
