The course is the part you do on your own time. The training is the part you do with Robert himself, live, whenever you want to join in. We're not here to get you past a test. We're here to give you the freedom to go live a life full of experiences, wherever the road leads.
The Driver's Room
Live · Twice a weekCustom virtual training with a world class instructor. Twice a week Robert opens the room and you bring whatever you've got. Come to both, come to one, or just listen in. It's always there, never required. When he reviews one member's drive, everyone in the room learns the same lesson, so you get a real expert's attention and the attention of everyone else figuring it out alongside you. It's a community, not a help desk.

The Course
A curriculum you move through at your own pace, built to required state standards for adult learners and taught the way it should be. Cinematic video lessons, plain language, and checkpoints that make sure it stuck. No animated slideshows, no condescending busywork, just real instruction that respects your time and treats you like an adult.
The Library
Every live session is recorded and kept in a private library for members only, the coaching you won't find on our public YouTube channel. Miss a session, catch it later. Over time it grows into a deep archive you can search by the exact thing you're stuck on, there whenever you need it.
EMBER Training
Emergency Maneuvering, Braking & Evasive ResponseThe crash you never have. Drawn from what Robert drilled into people who can't afford a mistake: threshold braking, skid control, emergency backing, evasive maneuvers, focal point discipline, and holding the car when a tire lets go at speed. Most courses hope you never need this. We make sure you're ready for the half second that decides everything. A private film, yours to keep, with live follow up in the Room.
ROEM Training
Roadside Emergency ResponseThe day you're ready for. Change a tire, jump a dead battery, get off the road and out of danger when you break down, read the warning light that means stop now, and handle the weather that catches you out. How to help someone else in an emergency, and what the law asks of you when you stop. A private film, yours to keep, with live follow up in the Room.

Learning to drive is the beginning, not the destination. Log your milestones, first solo, first highway, first night drive, first real road trip, and the people who've been there mark them with you. It's the part that keeps going long after the license.
This isn't a course you finish and close. It's a community built around the freedom of the open road, and it stays with you long after your license does. Come back before a big road trip, when you buy your next car, or whenever the road calls again.

Is Out Driving a real, approved driver's education course?
Yes. Out Driving is built to the standards required for state driver's education, and it launches one state at a time. As it opens where you live, the course meets your state's requirements, so the course and the certificate count wherever you live.
Who is Out Driving for?
Out Driving is for anyone who wants to become a better driver, not just pass a test. Whether you're earning your first license, returning after years away, or simply building confidence, you're in the right place. We believe better drivers have more freedom. Our mission is to help you drive with confidence so you can take the road trips, chase the opportunities, and live the adventures waiting beyond your driveway.
When can I start?

Do I need my own car?
Not to start the course. You can complete the online lessons from your phone, tablet, or computer. When it's time to practice driving, you'll need access to a safe, legally insured vehicle and a calm, confident passenger who meets your state's requirements to supervise your practice. Out Driving does not provide in-car driving instruction or behind-the-wheel training.
What is The Driver's Room?
The Driver's Room is an exclusive benefit for Out Driving community members. Twice a week, Robert goes live to answer questions, review driving situations, explain difficult concepts, and help you become a more confident driver. Join whenever you want. It's real coaching from a real instructor, not a chatbot or a prerecorded video.
How is Out Driving different from other online driver's ed?
Most online driver's ed ends with a certificate. Out Driving begins with a community of like-minded people who believe the best parts of life are waiting somewhere beyond the next turn. If you see driving as freedom instead of transportation, you'll fit right in. Along with a state-approved course, you'll get live coaching from a real instructor and advanced training in emergency maneuvering and roadside emergencies. What happens to my founding rate?
It's locked for life. Your founding rate belongs to you and stays with your account as long as your membership remains active. It can't be shared or transferred to another driver, including family members.
